Dear Reader,

Have you ever caught yourself doing something not because you truly wanted to, but because it was simply what everyone else was doing?

Maybe it was following a career path others thought was “safe.”

Or dimming your light so you didn’t stand out.

Or even scrolling through social media and feeling the pressure to copy how others live, dress, or speak.

We all feel that pull toward imitation. It’s human.

Yet deep within, there’s a whisper reminding us: you are more than a copy.

Today, I want to share the story of a young man who embodied this truth in a powerful way.

He was only 15 when he died, yet his words continue to ripple across the world.

Ready to explore how we move from photocopy to masterpiece? Then keep on reading.

Now let's get ALIGNED...

Inspirational Quote

"All are born with their own originality, but many die as photocopies."
- St. Carlo Acutis

The Story

Carlo Acutis was a teenager from Italy who loved computers, video games, and his friends.

By all accounts, he was like many kids of his generation.

And yet, he lived differently.

Carlo had a deep love for the sacred, and he used his tech skills not just for fun but to create websites that documented miracles and uplifted people spiritually.

He was only 15 when leukemia claimed his life.

And still, his legacy lives on.

In September 2025, he was canonized as the first millennial saint.

What’s remarkable is not just his sainthood, but how he showed that age, background, or circumstance don’t limit the impact of a life lived authentically.

The Spiritual Lesson

Carlo’s words remind us that originality is not something we have to manufacture.

It’s already within us, woven into our very being.

But here’s the challenge: life constantly tempts us to copy. To fit in. To settle into a version of ourselves that looks safe, acceptable, and familiar.

The path of the soul asks something different.

It invites us to be bold enough to live the unrepeatable pattern of our own existence.

To embrace our quirks, our gifts, our longings—and to trust that they are not accidents, but signatures of Spirit moving through us.

Your Call to Action

Carlo’s life is a reminder that our originality is not something we need to earn, but something we need to honor.

The world doesn’t need more copies — it needs the fullness of you.

So I invite you into this practice this week:

Close your eyes and imagine a small seed in the palm of your hand.

Inside this seed is the exact blueprint of what it is meant to become — an oak, a sunflower, a rose.

The seed never questions if it should become something else. It simply unfolds into what it already is.

Now take a moment to reflect:

  • Where in my life am I living like a photocopy?
  • What “seed” of originality has been planted within me?
  • What one step could I take this week to nurture that seed and allow it to grow?

Approach this not as a test to pass, but as a gentle tending of the garden of your own soul.

Carlo’s story reminds us that it’s not the number of years we live that matters, but the authenticity with which we live them.

May we each have the courage to step out of the photocopy machine of conformity and live as the masterpieces we already are.

Abundant Blessings and Namaste.

Maybe you’ve even said it when life got hard. At first, those words can sound comforting, like they’ll help us make sense of what’s happening. But sometimes, they can become the bars of a cage, keeping us stuck in places we no longer belong. I want to share with you a story...

person receiving praise from others

Welcome to ALIGNED The Newsletter for Living a Life of Abundant Goodwith Spiritual Life Coach Joselito Laudencia August 5, 2025 edition Dear Reader, Something happened that totally surprised me—and it left me feeling a little weird and really humbled. I had gone to do something I do all the time—facilitate a workshop and be of service. But what unfolded left me feeling both deeply seen and unexpectedly off-balance. There was praise. There were photos. There were hallway encounters that...
