Dear Reader,
Something feels off. You can't quite name it, but it's there.
You're doing everything you're supposed to be doing. But it doesn't feel like enough. And the harder you push, the more frustrated you get.
What if the problem isn't what you're doing? What if it's who you're being while you're doing it?
That's a different question entirely. And it changes everything.
Now let's get ALIGNED...

The Story
Not long ago, a client came to me frustrated.
She led a team of managers, and on paper, everything looked fine. People were doing their jobs. Nothing was in crisis. But something wasn't working, and she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
As we talked, it started to come into focus. Her team wasn't working together. Everyone was focused on their own area, their own priorities, their own lane. And their growth as leaders had quietly stalled.
She had been giving them space, stepping back, letting them run. And what she thought was trust had slowly become distance.
Then she said it out loud.
"This isn't working."
And in that moment, something shifted. Because the next thing she said wasn't about them. It was about herself. She realized she hadn't been showing up in the way her team actually needed her to. Not because she didn't care, but because she hadn't been intentional about it.
So she got to work. She started meeting with each of them one on one, listening to where they wanted to grow. She began giving them work that required them to collaborate, to depend on each other. She stopped standing at a distance and started leading from within.
The team began to move differently. And so did she.
Maybe you know that feeling too. Not with a team necessarily, but with something in your own life that's been quietly asking for more of you.
The Spiritual Lesson
What my client discovered wasn't a management insight. It was a spiritual one.
And it's one that shows up in all kinds of places.
It shows up when a relationship that used to feel easy starts feeling like work. When a creative project you once loved starts collecting dust. When a business you built with passion starts feeling like an obligation. When your days are full but something inside you feels empty.
It's easy to look outward when something isn't working. To focus on the circumstances, the other people, the situation. That's the natural first move. And sometimes those things do need attention.
But there are moments when life is asking something different of you. Not for a better strategy or a smarter approach. But for a truer, more intentional version of yourself to show up.
That's what my client felt when she said "this isn't working." She wasn't just naming a problem. She was hearing a call.
We're not static beings. We're always being invited to grow, to expand, to step into a larger expression of who we are. And that invitation doesn't always arrive dramatically. Sometimes it arrives as frustration. As restlessness. As the quiet but persistent sense that something is off.
The discomfort isn't the problem. It's the signal.
The question is whether we're willing to look honestly at ourselves when it arrives. Not with judgment, but with curiosity. Not asking "what's wrong with me?" but "who is this moment asking me to become?"
My client didn't become a different person. She became more fully herself. And that made all the difference.
Your Call to Action
This week, I'd like to invite you to sit with one honest question.
Where in your life have you been saying "this isn't working," but looking everywhere except at yourself for the answer?
Not with judgment. Just with honesty. Because the moment you're willing to look there, something shifts. Not because you've fixed anything yet, but because you've finally stopped looking away.
You don't have to overhaul everything. You don't have to have it all figured out. Sometimes the only thing that's needed is the willingness to say, "I need to show up differently here." And then take one small step in that direction.
Maybe it looks like opening that document you haven't touched in months, not to finish it, but just to sit with it again. To remind yourself that it still matters, and that you still have something to say.
Maybe it looks like reaching out to someone you've been meaning to call, not with an agenda, but just to let them know you're thinking of them.
Maybe it looks like blocking one hour this week to work on the thing in your business you've been putting off, not because you have all the answers yet, but because you're finally ready to stop avoiding it.
That willingness is where everything begins.
If you find yourself wanting some support in figuring out what that step looks like for you, I'd love to have that conversation. Just hit reply.
Abundant Blessings and Namaste.
