Dear Reader,

The other week, Richard and I stood on the streets of San Francisco surrounded by glitter, music, and lots of people dressed up as cows.

Thousands of people were making their way from the Bay to the ocean—not just running, but dancing, laughing, and living out loud.

It wasn’t just a race.

It was something more—a moment where everyone felt free.

This is a lesson and spiritual question that we all can live into everyday:

What if being fully yourself is the most generous thing you can offer?

Ready to find out what authenticity can look like?

Then keep on reading.

Now let's get ALIGNED...

Inspirational Quote

"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

The Story and The Spiritual Lesson

A couple weekends ago, Richard and I I found ourselves swept up in one of San Francisco’s most iconic traditions—Bay to Breakers.

It’s a race, yes. But more than that, it’s a living, breathing celebration of joyful self-expression.

If you're not familiar with Bay to Breakers, picture this:

Imagine thousands of people moving through the streets.

Some running. Others walking. Many dancing.

And almost everyone in costume.

There were cows, bumblebees, a few Pope Leo's, and even a group dressed as a cable car.

It was colorful, chaotic, and deeply beautiful.

What struck me most wasn’t just the creativity.

It was the freedom.

The way people showed up—not just as they are, but as they wanted to be, even just for a day.

No explanations. No apologies.

Some ran solo. Others were surrounded by friends, partners, or kids. But they all came as they were.

Together, they created something bigger than a race.

It felt like joy in motion.

It felt like community.

It felt like home.

We often think of authenticity as a personal practice—something we do for ourselves, in quiet moments, behind closed doors.

But there’s something sacred about showing up fully in public.

In a world that rewards masks and filters, being yourself isn’t just brave—it’s a blessing.

It tells others, “You can be real here too.”

Your joy is an offering. Your truth creates space. And your freedom gives others permission to lay down their own disguises.

The spiritual truth is that authenticity isn’t just about being seen. It’s about feeling safe enough to stop hiding.

Your Call to Action

For your coaching assignment for this week, I invite you to notice the moments when you feel most yourself—unguarded, lit up, at ease.

Those small glimmers can point you back to your truth.

Then ask yourself:

What helps you reconnect with who you are—especially when the world tells you to be something else?

You might think of moments like:

  • Going for a walk in nature where you can breathe without pressure.
  • Dancing alone in your kitchen to a favorite song.
  • Calling that one friend who always “gets you.”
  • Journaling in the early morning before the noise of the day begins.
  • Praying, meditating, or simply sitting in silence with your hand on your heart.
  • Wearing that outfit that makes you feel bold, beautiful, and unapologetically you.

Each of these moments is like a compass needle gently turning you back to your inner north.

Take a few moments to reflect or write. You might be surprised by what you uncover when you give yourself full permission to be you.

May we remember that authenticity is more than a personal path—it’s a communal invitation.

When we show up fully, we light the way for others to do the same.

Abundant Blessings and Namaste.
