Dear Reader,

Have you ever noticed how some moments in life just feel right, while others feel heavy or uncomfortable, even if you can’t explain why?

You might be doing all the “right” things, yet something inside you still feels tight or off.

At other times, you feel calm, open, or quietly happy, even when nothing special is happening on the outside.

Those moments don’t need fixing or explaining, because your body already feels at ease.

We often ignore these signals and keep pushing forward, relying on logic or willpower instead, but what if those feelings are actually trying to guide you?

In today’s reflection, I want to share a simple way to notice them and use them as guidance in everyday life.

Ready to listen a little more closely to what your body might already be telling you?

Then keep on reading. Now let's get ALIGNED...

Inspirational Quote

"Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction."
- Rumi

The Story

When I was a kid, there was a simple game we used to play where someone hid an object and the rest of us searched while listening for clues like:

“You’re getting warmer,” or, “You’re getting colder.”

You didn’t rely on your own senses to find the object, but on someone else’s voice letting you know whether you were getting closer or farther away.

Each step was guided by that feedback, and you adjusted your direction based on what you heard.

If the voice said “warmer,” you kept going.

If it said “colder,” you stopped and changed course.

Not long ago, that game came back to me in a quiet moment, and I realized how often life still works in a similar way.

We don’t always get clear instructions, but we do receive signals that let us know when we’re moving closer to what fits and farther from what doesn’t.

That realization is what inspired me to record a short video where I play the game again, using “warmer” and “colder” as a way to explore how guidance shows up in everyday life.

If you’d like to see this reflection in motion, you can watch the short video here.

The Spiritual Lesson

What struck me is that the game didn’t require us to understand why we were getting warmer or colder, only to respond to the feedback we were given.

Life often works the same way.

We don’t always know the full picture or the final destination, but we do receive signals that tell us whether we’re moving closer to alignment or farther away from it.

Those signals don’t usually come as words or instructions.

They come as feelings.

When you feel tense, stressed, or contracted, it’s often a sign that you’re getting colder.

When you feel peaceful, open, energized, or quietly joyful, it’s often a sign that you’re getting warmer.

Joy isn’t random or accidental. It’s guidance.

It’s life’s way of saying, “Yes, this direction,” even if your mind doesn’t yet understand why.

The invitation isn’t to chase happiness, but to notice what brings a sense of warmth and aliveness, and to let that guide your next step.

Your Call to Action

Today, try a small experiment.

As you move through your day, notice where you feel a sense of warmth, ease, or openness, and where you feel tension, heaviness, or contraction.

You don’t need to analyze it or change anything, just notice which moments feel like “warmer” and which feel like “colder.”

And if it feels right, take one small step in the direction that feels warmer, even if it doesn’t make complete sense yet.

Trusting the Next Step

You don’t need to have everything figured out to move in the right direction.

You only need to notice what feels warmer and what feels colder, and trust that your heart recognizes the difference.

May you give yourself permission to listen more closely, move more gently, and follow the quiet signals that lead you toward greater ease and alignment.

Abundant Blessings and Namaste.
